Vote Earl Webb for Lewes BPW

April 30, 2021

We’ve had the pleasure to know Earl Webb for over a decade, and are compelled to share why we feel he would be a fabulous selection to the Lewes Board of Public Works. While we have known Earl personally and professionally, we feel that in addition to those traits that make him a great leader at work, we want to share the kind of person Earl is. Characteristics that stand out when talking about Earl are integrity, grit, curiosity, passion and family. In our time knowing Earl, he has never wavered on what’s right, even when the right thing is hard to do. He also has this incredible empathy toward people, the challenges we all face and makes it personal when he talks to you. If he says he will do something, he comes through, as he never promises something he can’t deliver on.

His curiosity and ability to make the right decision stand out as well. People far too often are recognized for the number of decisions they make, or the speed at which they make them. But what has stood out to both of us is that Earl most often makes the right decision.  Again, that decision might not be easy, or in his best interest, but it’s the right one, based on facts and insight that he draws from his personal connections. As our friend and as a colleague, Earl is seen as someone with sound advice and guidance, and can deliver difficult messages thoughtfully and respectfully.

Whatever the issue is, regardless of complexity or sensitivity, he will tackle that problem with intellect, urgency and a sense of personal connection to the people that decision matters most to. We often tell Earl he’s “the standard” for how we want to make decisions on the most important things in our lives … marriage, parenting, work and challenges that we confront in the normal course of our lives.  He will be great for Lewes … just as he has been for both of us.
