William T. Papa, devout Catholic
William T. Papa (Bill), 92, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. He was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Allentown, Pa., son of the late Theodore and Rosa Papa.
Bill was a devoted husband of 66 years to Joan Claire; loving father to Tom, Joseph, Mary (Gregory), Anne, Gregory, and Julie (Stuart); grandfather to Justin, Sean, Colin (Amy), Rachel, William, and Katharine; and great-grandfather to Piper and Calvin. A veteran of the Korean War, Bill was a career-long employee of IBM and a man for whom family always came first. He was devout in his Roman Catholic faith and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 28, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
Mask wearing is required and social distancing must be observed by all service attendees and participants.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
