Winter weather forces delays, cancellations

* Rehoboth Beach - Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce Feb. 12 business event  at Palm Beach Bar & Grill has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19.

* First State Health & Wellness in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach is closed Feb. 12.

• The Town of Georgetown will lift its snow emergency plan at noon Feb.12. This involves vehicles parked along the following snow emergency routes: Market Street, Bedford Street, Bridgeville Road, Pine Street, Race Street, Front Street, East and West Laurel Street, Edward Street, West North Street, and Albany Avenue.

Town ordinance also states that the sidewalks be cleared within 24 hours after a snowfall. Residents with a fire hydrant near their property are asked to take an extra minute or two to ensure that it is clear and visible.

• State of Delaware offices in Sussex County are closed on Wednesday, Feb,12 during regular business hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Non-essential employees who live or work in Kent and Sussex Counties are not to report to work for this period.

• Delaware Court facilities in Sussex County (with the exception of the 24-hour Justice of the Peace Courts) will be closed tomorrow Wednesday Feb. 12 due to inclement weather.
