Xi Sigma Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi supports Samaritan’s Purse
Xi Sigma Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority finalized its 2022-23 program year with a luncheon at the home of member Barbara Henriksen.
Secret sister gifts were exchanged, and plans were announced for the upcoming year.
As a result of the ways and means projects, an Iron Hill restaurant fundraiser and donations from members and friends, the chapter raised and donated $1,200 to Samaritan’s Purse. The nondenominational evangelical Christian organization has been providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world since 1970.
Highlights of this year also included bestowing the preceptor degree to Jane McGann and the torchbearer degree to Kris Pritchett. The preceptor is the fourth degree, and McGann has progressed from the exemplar degree. The torchbearer degree follows Pritchett’s master degree and now is the highest degree in Beta Sigma Phi. Both women have served their sorority with outstanding service to the group and the community.
