‘Crab Tracks’

M.E. Edge of Milton sent this stunning photograph of horseshoe crabs at dawn on Broadkill Beach. The trails are a late-spring reminder that it’s almost spawning time. If you see a horseshoe crab upside down on the beach, wiggling its legs or moving its tail back and forth, consider flipping it by holding the sides of the shell. It won’t bite you, and you’ll be saving his or her life while aiding the continuation of this ancient species, which has remained essentially the same for 445 million years (wikipedia).
