‘Craig and Fred’ author and rescue dog in Rehoboth Aug. 4

Author and Marine Craig Grossi and his Afghan rescue dog Fred will be visiting the Rehoboth-Dewey area for two special events Saturday, Aug. 4. The two have traveled the country promoting animal rescue, along with their book, “Craig and Fred: A Marine, A Stray Dog and How They Rescued Each Other.”
They will be the guests of honor at the 10th Annual Run For the Paws Lucy Crowe Memorial 5K starting at 8 a.m. at the Starboard in Dewey Beach. That afternoon, they will appear at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach for a book signing and happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m.
