Considering how much time I take photographing flowers, it's a shame I don't have any patience for gardening. I even replaced the flower bed in front of my house with a rock garden. Now I just buy buckets of flowers instead of having to mess with mulch and weeding. Last year's Noa Blue Legend Calibrachoa Hybrid from Garden Shack Farm in Lewes currently holds the annual record for lasting the longest in my care.
This year's weird weather hasn't motivated me to buy any annuals yet, but I did visit Garden Shack Farm a few weeks ago to explore what they were growing in their new greenhouses. I'm not sure if I'll pick purple flowers again this year, but the MiniFamous Compact® Blue Calibrachoa sure are pretty.
Aquariann enjoys watching petals grow much more than paint dry. That's why she's a flower photographer and illustrator instead of a painter. She welcomes all artists to join her weekly Flower Friday hop to share their pretty pictures on her other blog, the art and tree chatter of aquariann.
