Coons continues to build bi-partisan legacy

November 11, 2019

In true Delaware fashion, US Sen. Chris Coons, Democrat,  continues to build his bi-partisan approach to get things done in Washington D.C.  His office recently sent out this photograph showing him with Republican Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana meeting with Microsoft founder Bill Gates.  Coons and Braun worked together to set up the Bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus which continues to add senators from both sides of the aisle. According to information sent with the photograph, the senators met with Gates  “to discuss climate change and ways to address the challenge, including investing in technology and the role that agriculture and reforestation can play in reducing emissions.”

It’s refreshing to see initiatives like this which focus on solving problems with a focus on what looks best for the country as opposed to what looks best for re-election prospects.
