Summer League Games for Week Three
Elementary Division
In the first game of the week (Monday), the Waves defeated the Dunes by a final of 3-0. Norah Block’s pair of goals in the first half was enough for the win and Alex Ellis got an insurance goal midway through the second half. In the other game of the evening, the Tides dominated the Dunes for a 7-0 win. Layla Conn (4), Shea Danahy, Avary Miller and Ellen Ramsey did the scoring for the Tides.
In Wednesday’s first game the Guards earned their first win of the season with a solo goal by Ava Boothe in the second half of the game to defeat the Waves 1-0. Blair Chubb provided the goal keeping while Myla Smith was the keeper for the Waves. The other game of the evening was another 1-0 result when Leighton Swope scored to give the game to the Dunes over the Tides.
The Elementary division games continue on Monday, July 2 with the Guards vs the Dunes and the Waves vs the Tides.

Senior Division
On Monday, June 25th, the Seahawks defeated the Pumas by jumping off to a 3-0 half time lead before ending the game at 4-2. Madi Cook, Kylee LaVere, and Lyndsey Weller had the opening half goals for the Seahawks. Emma Ruley pushed the lead to 4-0 for the Seahawks before the Pumas mounted a challenge with a pair of goals by Carey Karl. In a close match, the Corals were able to defeat the Artics by a final of 2-1. Samantha Swift and Carrie Clausius had first half goals for the Corals and then were able to hold off the Artics after Marcella Sabbagh scored early in the second half for the Artics. The third game of the night was a 3-3 result between the Baffins and the Bengals. Neither team was able to gain a extended advantage over the other team throughout the game. LeeLee Wilson opened the scoring for the Bengals with a goal at 18:10 but Taylor Smith answered for the Baffins at 13:22. Lori Sapp put the Bengals back on top with her goal at 11:02 but Alivia Wilber answered for the Baffins at 4:57. Hailey Moore scored at 8:08 remaining in the second half to give the lead back to the Bengals but Cami Smith got the tying goal at 3:22 for the Baffins.
Wednesday evening’s first game was a 7-1 with by the Corals over a very short-handed Bengals team. Carrie Clausius, Madi Irwin, Paige Ludwicki (3), Hannah Maney, and Emma Westbrook did the scoring for the Corals. Aubrie Myers got the Bengals on the scoreboard with her goal at 7:45 in the second half. The second game of the night ended in a 4-1 win for the Pumas over the Artics with all scoring occurring in the opening half. Julia Hollenbeck, assisted by Lily Ashby, opened the scoring with her goal at 15:58 but Brynn McCabe tied it with her goal a few minutes later. The Lily Ashby had a three-goal outburst beginning at 7:00 and ending at 2:00 to give the game to the Pumas. The last game of the night between the Seahawks and the Baffins was a tightly played contest. Avery Congleton and Riley Cordrey got the Baffins off to a two-goal lead before a pair of goals by Amanda Sponaugle tied up the game going into half time. Emma Ruley put the Seahawks into the lead on a penalty corner goal at 18:34 but Cordrey answered at 13:36 for the Baffins. Sponaugle got the game winner at 7:18, again on a penalty corner, before Kylee LaVere got the insurance goal at 1:29.
League play continues on July 2nd with the Pumas vs the Baffins at 6:45, followed by the Bengals vs the Artics at 7:30 and then finishing with the Corals vs the Seahawks at 8:15.
