Delaware Shore's U12 Takes Championship

This past Sunday the Delaware Shore U12 team, Breakers, won the championship at the Washington College Indoor tournament with a 5-0 record in pool play and in the crossovers.

The Delaware Shore Breakers defeated the DE Sharks in the opening game by a final of 5-0. Reagan Ciabattoni (2), Emma Duffield, and Lori Sapp (2) had the goals in the game.

In the second game, the Breakers defeated the ShoreByrds by a final of 6-1. Ciabattoni (2), Emma Westbrook, Emma Duffield, Sapp and Grace Wiggins had the goals.

In the third game in pool play, the Breakers defeated H2O by a final of 4-0. Ciabattoni (3), and Sapp did the scoring.

In the first cross over game, Breakers again was able to defeat DE Sharks by the score of 4-0 with goals scored by Ciabattoni (2), Elise Westbrook, and Sapp.

The championship game was played against the ShoreByrds and was a back and forth effort with the Breakers coming out on top by a final of 3-2. Lori Sapp tied the game at 9:25 after the 'Byrds had gone ahead with a goal at 12:05. Reagan Ciabattoni the put the Breakers into the lead with her goal at 8:16. The 'Byrds tied it with a goal at 2:40 but Sapp got the game winner at 1:13 to close out the championship game.
