My family has a long history of allergies. Now, Droolface, our nearly 3-year-old, seems to be afflicted by seasonal allergies as well. He has what I call faucet nose. His nose is always running. It’s clear, so there’s no infection. It seems to start right when the world starts to warm up slightly. It’s been going on for about a month now and I am so sick of it! And, so is Droolface.
The constant nose-wiping makes both of us cranky. And, I hate to see that smear of crust across his face that means he’s been wiping it. Just yuck.
Droolface does take a prescribed allergy medicine in his morning juice every day. But, I wanted to find something else that could cure this faucet nose.
I found Shire City Herbals Fire Cider. This tonic has long been used by grandmas to cure what ails you – from colds to allergies to possibly, crankiness in old men. The tonic supports your immune system and respiratory health. The cider is a spicy vinegar-based tonic that can be taken daily. We like to mix ours into fruit juice.
According to New England-based Shire City Herbals, the tonic starts with raw, Certified Organic apple cider vinegar and raw wildflower honey. Then they add Organic Oranges, Organic Lemons, Organic Onions, Organic Ginger, Organic Horseradish, Organic Garlic, Organic Turmeric, and Organic Habanero Pepper.
I will let you know how it works out for us, but so far, I am optimistic.
Where to get it: http://www.firecider.com/index.html or you can get it where I get everying – amazon.com.
Here’s hoping you too can kick the spring allergy faucet nose!
