Lightning Shortened Summer League Action for De Shore

Elementary Division
The first round of the Elementary Division saw the two top seeds move onto the semi-finals. The Grays defeated the Maroons by a final of 7-3. Madeline Pepper had all the goals for the Maroons while Malory Wood and Peyton Moore both had hat tricks for the Grays and Emmilyn Swope had a solo effort.
The Reds defeated the Golds by a final of 11-0. Hannah Maney (6), Parker Robbins (3), Maddie Long and Lyndsey Weller did the scoring for the Reds.
The Grays now face the top seeded Greens tonight while the Reds face the second seeded, Blues.
The Maroons and Golds face off on Monday, July 25 at 5:30 for fifth place in the tourney.
Senior Division
In the senior division the Artics and Baffins played to a lightning shortened game with Kaila Hindt scoring for the Baffins off a pass from Katie Fuhr. Rylie Cordrey had the goal for the Artics. The remaining games for the night were declared ties, as per the policy of Delaware Shore, for weather related issues.
The final night of pool play is this Wednesday with the championship game between the top two finishers to be played on Monday, July 25th, at 7:00 pm following the Elementary Division Championship game. All games are on the Bermuda at Cape Henlopen HS.
