A giant guanacaste tree beside the pool and in the lovely gardens at Las Mercedes Best Western Hotel. Six or eight feet in diameter. About 100 years old. Across street from Agosto Sandino International Airport. Revolutionary seeking justice. I'm reading Bryan Stevenson's book about justice and redemption. I know many Stevensonistas seeking repeal of Delaware's death penalty.
Raking produces orderliness and complements natural beauty. This young man hummed songs as he worked and filled the handmade basket that doubled the capacity of the wheel barrow. My brother Miguelito said work is love made manifest.
Arrived Tuesday night. Best Western, Las Mercedes. Clean and green. Relaxed with ice cold Victoria's - Nicaraguan cerveza. Ceviche muy Bueno. Wednesday: hot with big breezes blowing through big palms and guanacaste trees and colorful flowers. Cooing doves everywhere.
