Results from Monday, June 20
Elementary Division- The Greens defeated a shorthanded Golds team by a final of 6-1 behind 5 goals by Kylee LaVere and a solo goal by Baylie Williamson. Abby Marsh scored for the Golds.
The Reds came alive in the second half to defeat the Grays who had taken the first half lead on a goal by Lillian Fisher. Riya Jani, Maddie Long, Parker Robbins, and Lyndsey Weller scored the second half goals for the Reds.
On Wednesday the Golds face the Blues and the Maroon go against the Reds with both games starting at 5:30.
Senior Division
The Baffins defeated the Corals on a second half goal by Paige Ludwicki off an assist by Raegan Ciabattoni at the 15:43 mark in the second half. The Corals kept the pressure on the Baffins through the remainder of the game but could not get the ball into the cage.
The Artics took charge of their game with the Seahawks with a five-goal barrage, all coming in the second half. Julia Hollenbeck had given the Seahawks the lead with a goal late in the first half before the goal fest by Lily Ashby, Kay Cordrey, Rylie Cordrey, and Anna Steiner for the Artics.
The Pumas defeated the Bengals by a score of 5-1. Madi Cook (2), CArlonie Judge (2), and Lola Messick scored the goals for the Pumas while Lexi Gooch had the goal for the Bengals.
Games continue on Wednesday with the Baffins vs Artics at 6:00, followed by the Bengals and Seahawks, then concluding with the Pumas taking on the Corals on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.
