Indoor League Report Week Seven
Elementary Division
The championship game was all anyone could Have asked for with back and forth action lasting through two halves of play followed by two rounds of shoot out before a champion could be determined. Julianna Martinez was able to push the ball past the goalie in the sudden victory round of the shooting out to give BelmontA the win with a 1-0 result over Newberry. In the first round of the shootout all four of the BelmontA team (Julianna Martinez, Olivia Balback, Finley Conn and Kendall Schmid) did not connect and the same for the Newberry team (Tenley Hazzard, Joanna Tsloukalas, Alison Swift, and Grace Hudson). The sudden victory round saw the first shooting for Newbery miss before Martinez was able to connect.
Senior Division
The championship game in the senior division was determined early by a goal off the stick of Carrie Clausius at 22:46 in the first half for Salisbury. Clausius got the insurance goal at 8:24 remaining in the contest, making the final 2-0 over Wesley.
