Seaford Community Concerts offers discounts on season memberships until June 1
The Seaford Community Concerts Association announces the 2016-17 membership campaign has begun, and the season lineup of performances has been announced. Discounted memberships are available through Wednesday, June 1.
Globally renowned concert pianist Alina Kiryayeva will perform light classical music at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8
The Raleigh Ringers, an internationally acclaimed concert handbell choir, will play all manner of music from sacred to rock and roll at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 13.
Kubecca, a duo that plays a blend of musical expression featuring country, jazz, classical and show tunes with unique instrumentation will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19.
Jim Witter will perform I Write the Songs - The Music of Barry Manilow at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 21. Witter re-creates these classic songs in their full Manilow splendor with music and multimedia presentation.
Equinox Little Big Band will play big band for a new generation with the greatest songs, the best original arrangements and phenomenal musicianship at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 2.
Early-bird single memberships will be available for $55 if postmarked by Wednesday, June 1. Cost will be $65 thereafter, and there will no longer be a family ticket available. Children under 18 will be admitted free accompanied by an adult with a ticket. To attend a concert, one must become a member, and the low one-time membership fee covers all five concerts, Tickets will be mailed in August. The SCCA only accepts cash or checks.
All performances are held at the Seaford High School Madden Auditorium. Attendees should remember to bring their membership card to all performances. Donations are very much appreciated as this additional money enables the SCCA to bring the very best professional entertainment available in the area. Donor levels are Friend, $25; Contributor $50; Donor. $100; Sustainer $250 which includes one free ticket; and Benefactor, $500 which includes two free tickets.
