Sherri Lynn Swenson, In2Soles co-owner

May 16, 2016

Sherri Lynn Swenson passed away at her home in Rehoboth Beach Thursday, May 12, 2016, after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born Aug. 3, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of Halcyon Swenson of Florida and the late Robert Swenson.

Sherri graduated from Worthington High School, Ohio State, and the University of Pittsburgh with a master's in physical therapy. She worked as a rehabilitation director in Prince William County Hospital System in Virginia for 22 years, and she also worked as a physical therapist at Beebe Healthcare until 2015. Sherri and Jane Klein were co-owners of In2Soles shoe store in Rehoboth Beach since 2006.

On Aug. 3, 2013, Sherri married Jane Klein in a sunrise ceremony in Rehoboth Beach. Sherri and Jane lived in Rehoboth Beach with their two dogs and two cats and are blessed with a multitude of friends.

Sherri loved the outdoors, was an avid biker and lived an active, healthy life that inspired her friends and family. Her appreciation for animals and her concern for the environment were reflected in her plants, her birds, and her walks on the beach as well as in her warm and welcoming home. She cared for people, and provided support and assistance to anyone she met. She was a giving person who respected all living things, and she truly lived her philosophy and set a beautiful example for all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
