Eliza G. Hostetter, enjoyed camping
Eliza Gracious Hostetter, 78 of Lewes, passed away peacefully Monday, June 6, 2016, at her daughter’s home in York, Pa. Mrs. Hostetter was born in Fall River, Mass., Nov. 24, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne (St. Laurent) Sevigny of Fall River.
Mrs. Hostetter, known by her friends and family as Liza, was a native of Fall River. She met the love of her life, Laverne E. Hostetter, on a blind date while he was stationed in Providence, R.I. They were married and eventually moved to Red Lion, Pa., where they raised their family. Mrs. Hostetter worked as a supervisor of special tobaccos for the House of Windsor until she retired in 2003 at the age of 65. In 2007, after many years of camping in Delaware, Eliza and her husband moved to the Lewes area full time.
Mrs. Hostetter enjoyed reading and fishing on the beach at Cape Henelopen. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband. Together they spent many summers camping with family and friends at the Homestead Campground in Georgetown and eating breakfast with the Morning Glories at Friendly’s. She also cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hostetter is survived by her: two daughters: Donna Marie Biser and husband Ronald of York, and Debra Ann Mathias of Red Lion, Pa.; a son, Laverne E. Hostetter Jr. and wife Daveen of Red Lion; one sister, Gertrude St. Onge of Rochester, Mass.; and two brothers, Roger Sevigny of Westport, Mass., and Francis Sevigny of Fall River; 12 grandchildren: Michael Dietz, Shanen Dietz, Jason Biser, Angela Biser, Aaron Biser, Nicole Biser, Shannon Biser, Sarah Mathias, Brandy Hostetter, Jewel Mathias, Ariel Martinez and Eric Martinez; nine great-grandchildren; Monica Dietz, Kaylin Blocher, Adalyn Biser, Lilyana Biser, Averie May Biser, Josh Kochitis, Paxton Wolf, Alexander Martinez and Chloe Martinez.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania.
