Milford dancer wins contest to attend summer dance intensive

This spring, 14-year-old Kristen Greenly of Milford found out she was the grand prize winner in the 4th annual dance contest sponsored by Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, Pa.

This contest was open to dancers ages 11–16. They had to create and submit a 1–2-minute video of their own dance routine. Greenly, who has danced for 11 years at First State Dance Academy owned by Michele Xiques, entered a contemporary dance piece.

Although Mercersburg Academy received an overwhelming number of entries,  Greenly came out on top. She won a free week at Mercersburg Academy to attend their summer dance intensive. Kristen is the daughter of Stacy Greenly-Teat and Jeff Greenly, both of Milford.
