Elementary Division- In the opening night of the Elementary Division the Greens defeated the Blues by a final of 4-1 behind a four-goal effort by Baylie Williamson. Macy Steinwedel had the solo goal for the Blues. The Grays and Maroons played to a 4-4 result after the Grays had taken a one-goal lead going into halftime. Peyton Moore (2), Malory Wood, and Anna Crenshaw did the scoring for the Grays while Madeline Pepper had all the goals for the Maroons.
One Wednesday night the Reds defeated the Golds by a final of 5-0 with Riya Jani, Lyndsay Weller (2), Adria Windish and Brianna Windish get the goals for the Reds. In the second game of the evening, the Blues defeated the Maroons by a final of 12-1. Scoring for the Blues: Maya Jester (3), Isabella Marinelli (2), Josie Peranteau, and Macy Steinwedel (6). Cadence McMahon had the score for the Maroons.
The league continues on June 20 with the Greens vs the Golds and the Grays vs the Reds on the Bermuda at Cape Henlopen HS. Game time is 5:30.
Senior Division
The Bengals defeated the Artics by a final of 4-2, with the Bengals taking a 2-1 lead going into halftime behind goals by Anna Stancofski and Samie Jacona. Rylie Cordrey had the goal for the Artics. The second half saw Melanie McCloy and Stancofski scoring for the Bengals and Ella Rishko getting the goal for the Artics.
The Seahawks defeated the Corals by a final of 5-0 behind goals by Lexi Haden, Madi Irwin (2), Hailey Moore and Amanda Sponaugle.
In a closely played final game of the night, the Pumas were able to overcome the Baffins by a final of 2-1. Maci Long had the goal for the Baffins after Rylee Pettyjohn had given the Pumas the lead. With 2:30 remaining in the game Lola Messick got the winning goal for the Pumas.
Games continue on June 20 with the Baffins vs the Corals, Seahawks vs the Artics and Bengals vs the Pumas and the first game is at 6:00 on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.
