Field Hockey Summer League Report

Results from Wednesday, June 22

Elementary Division- The Blues got off to a great first half start with goals by Macy Steinwedel (3) and Josie Peranteau to jump off to a 4-0 lead. Steinwedel also scored in the second half to make the final 5-0 over the Golds.

The Maroons and Reds played to a 2-2 result in a closely played match. Cadence McMahon and Madeline Pepper had goals for the Maroons, while Maddie Long and Parker Robbins did the scoring for the Reds.

Next Monday’s games have the Grays vs the Greens and the Blues vs the Reds at the halfway point of the summer season.

Senior Division

The Baffins earned another win with a 3-1 final over the Artics. All the scoring in the game came during the second half with Katie Fuhr, Kaila Hindt and Maci Long getting the goals for the Baffins while LeeLeeWilson had the solo effort for the Artics.

In another closely played match, the Seaharks out lasted the Bengals by a final of 4-2. Anna Harrington and Lexi Haden opened the scoring for the Seahawks in the first half but Lexi Gooch’s goal kept the Bengals in the game at halftime. Haden’s second goal of the night midway through the second half followed by a goal by Amanda Sponaugle opened up the insurmountable lead. Anna Stancofski had the other goal for the Bengals.

The final game of the night saw the Pumas continue their winning ways with a 4-0 win over the Corals. Maggie Mitchell, Rylee Pettyjohn (2) and Jenna Steele scored for the Pumas.

Monday will be the midpoint of the regular season for the Senior division with the Seahawks vs the Pumas, Artics vs the Corals and the last game of the night will be the Baffins vs the Bengals.
