The Stockley Tavern and Package Store, located at 26072 DuPant Highway, cut the ribbon in a ceremony sponsored by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce June 24. The newly-renovated tavern and package store, formerly known as Stingers and before that Stockley Tavern, held a soft opening June 21 and officially opened its doors June 22. The tavern features an outdoor patio area, a large seating area and a fully stocked bar. Stockley Tavern will soon be adding food to the menu. The package store is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the tavern will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight, closing at 1 a.m. on weekends.
