Local author Bob Ackerman to sign copies of WWII saga in Bethany Beach Aug. 30

August 16, 2016

Author Bob Ackerman will be signing his provocative "what-if" World War II saga at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Bethany Beach Books. Ackerman poses an historic leadership question. What if Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were secretly working for Adolf Hitler? Preposterous? Impossible? How could that have happened without anyone noticing, in two powerful countries no less. And yet a secret meeting between Roosevelt and Churchill did take place aboard a ship off Nova Scotia Aug. 9, 1941.

Bob Ackerman's thriller, "The Doppelganger Project," follows the exploits of a young U.S. naval officer assigned to join his British Navy counterpart as German Enigma code breakers at the ultra top-secret installation in Bletchley Park, England. Can they decipher the nefarious plot code named "the Doppelganger Project" in time to stop the Nazis?
