Frederick D. Thomas Building rededicated

The Frederick D. Thomas building, which houses the Sussex Consortium School, was rededicated May 6 in a ceremony on the school grounds. The ceremony, which featured speakers Michael Kelly, Cape Henlopen School District director of Elementary Education; Spencer Brittingham, school board president; Esthelda Parker Selby, former school board president; and Rep Ruth Briggs King, R-Georgetown, and Rep. Harvey Keaton, R-Milford, who presented a tribute from the Delaware House of Representatives. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a bronze plaque sporting a photo of the late Lewes Principal Thomas and words stating that the building is now to be known as the Frederick D. Thomas Building.
