HomeGoods, the country’s only major off-price store dedicated to home fashions, will open its first store in Rehoboth Beach at 8 a.m., Sunday, May 22. The 21,500-square-foot store is at Henlopen Plaza on Route 1 and Dartmouth Drive across from Wawa.

The Rehoboth Beach store will be the first HomeGoods store in the Delmarva market. In honor of this grand opening and to support the Rehoboth Beach community, HomeGoods will donate $5,000 to Bear Hugs for Babies Inc.

HomeGoods offers an ever-changing selection of high-quality home fashions at prices 20 percent to 60 percent less than department and specialty store regular prices every day. HomeGoods provides consumers with extraordinary values on brand-name and designer merchandise and unique finds for every room and in countless styles.

“We are excited to bring HomeGoods and our off-price concept to Rehoboth Beach area shoppers,” said Richard Sherr, HomeGoods president. “Consumers are more value conscious than ever and we know that this new store will be a welcome addition because our outstanding prices on high-quality home fashions allow shoppers to affordably update their homes without sacrificing quality or style.”

HomeGoods will support the Rehoboth Beach community by hiring store management and associates from the local area. The Rehoboth Beach store is expected to fill approximately 60 full- and part-time positions. “Supporting the communities where our stores are located is a core value of HomeGoods, and we are happy to make a donation to Bear Hugs for Babies in support of their mission to help newborn babies with the fundamental essentials for a bright start in the world,” said Robyn Arvedon, HomeGoods spokesperson.

HomeGoods merchandise offerings include furniture, rugs, lamps, kitchen and dining sets, bedding and bath, children’s décor, toys, pet items, storage and much more. The stores offer a liberal 30-day return policy, accept all major credit cards and offer gift cards for purchase. HomeGoods can be found online at homegoods.com and on Facebook and Twitter.

Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special grand opening-day hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more HomeGoods locations, call 800-614-HOME or visit homegoods.com.
