Jean Elizabeth Erich celebrated her 100th birthday Jan. 25 among family at Cadbury at Lewes. A precelebration was held Friday, Jan. 20, with the residents at Cadbury. Tributes from the Delaware Senate and House of Representatives were presented to Erich along with a cake and a toast to her 100 years.
Erich was born and raised in Chicago and on the family farm in Sioux Center, Iowa. She has two children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Erich has a motto that has that has helped her through the years, “You just say it’s fine, and it is fine.”
