DBCC Executive Director Eileen Filliben Edmunds said in her address to the audience, “In the spirit of the Oscars theme, if there were a Lifetime Achievement Award to bestow, it would surely go to our retiring Executive Director Vicky Cooke. A two time breast cancer survivor and DBCC’s first-ever executive director.”

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition held its annual Lights of Life Gala Feb. 25 at Dover Downs Hotel. The theme of the gala was Academy Awards based “Lights, Camera, Auction.” The event featured silent and live auctions, a sit down dinner, a red carpet walk, a fashion show and life size cut puts of Hollywood greats. The fundraiser supports the DBCC’s services and programs including community outreach and education, survivor programs, mobile mammography and breast cancer updates.
