Donna L. Quay, enjoyed crafting

Mrs. Donna L. Quay, 77, of Dagsboro passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Atlantic General Hospital.

Donna was born Oct. 6, 1939 ,in Pottstown, Pa., to the late Walter G. and Lillian Schwager Favinger.

In her younger years she worked in housekeeping in local hotels and also worked at the Ames Department Store in Millsboro. Donna liked crafting, including plastic canvas and crochet. She also enjoyed watching the Gilmore Girls. She was straightforward and to the point. Donna loved spending time with family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Timothy Quay of Dagsboro, Raymond Quay and his wife Alice of Selbyville, Kim Quay Franklin of Gumboro, and Janie Carmean and her husband Kenny of Millsboro; a brother, Franklin Favinger and a sister, Darlene Weidner, both of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, T.J. Quay, Amanda Quay and Hunter Franklin, along with two great-grandchildren, Aiden Mason and McKenna Quay, and also one on the way. She is also survived by a special nephew, Matthew; as well as a best friend Sherrie Stubbs, and a great neighbor Frances Tripp.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 12, at The Landing Community Club House, 5 Cottontail Court North, The Landing, Rehoboth Beach.
