June 8, 2017

WSFS Bank announced that Scott D. Swingle, vice president, business banking, was named the Small Business Financial Champion of the Year at the Delaware Small Business Administration Awards. The event was held May 3 at the Small Business Development Center in Wilmington. The SBA, alongside several partners, celebrated outstanding small business owners, resource partners and small business lenders. Swingle was nominated by the Small Business Development Center for his commitment to the Sussex County small business community.

"I've been fortunate to have worked in a field that I enjoy, for a company that cares so deeply about the community and lives that mission every day," Swingle said. "I'm honored that the SBA feels that I've made a meaningful contribution to the communities we all serve."

In addition to Swingle's achievement, WSFS Bank was recognized as a top Third Party Lender for providing long-term, fixed-rate financing to approved small businesses in Delaware.

"The 504 Loan Program has been a powerful economic development tool that WSFS is proud to participate in," said Morgan E. Johns, director of small business operations. "The program has been beneficial for small businesses, communities and participating lenders. It is truly a win, win, win."
