Jannetta C. Callaway, enjoyed entertaining

Jannetta C. Callaway, 90, of Bridgeville, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at her home. She was born in Somerset County, Pa., Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Joseph and Cora (Tidenberg) Callis.

Mrs. Callaway attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Seaford. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining. She was an avid baker and loved to throw big dinner parties.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Callaway was preceded in death by her daughter Jan Holly Callaway. She is survived by her loving husband, Warren Hubert Callaway; her daughter Sina Callaway-Rosales and her husband Abel; her son Eric Callaway and his wife Kathy Kiernan of Seaford; her grandchildren: Phillip, Bethany and Gregory Callaway; her great-grandchildren: Aubrey Mercer, Chayse Mercer and Cora Leigh Callaway; and her brothers, Glenn Callis of Plant City, Fla., and Grant Callis of Federalsburg, Md.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 2, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2381 Neals School Road, Seaford, where friends may call beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow the services in the adjoining churchyard cemetery.
