The dedication for the Silent Sentinels of Lewes was held April 14 at the trailhead near Lewes Public Library. The windy day was an appropriate start for the three kinetic wind sculptures designed by nationally recognized sculptor Lyman Whitaker. The Lewes in Bloom committee known as Art in Bloom along with Lewes City Council invited the public to the event. Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, Mayor Ted Becker and Art in Bloom Chair Jane Ellan Golde gave remarks and thanked the community and donors for the project.
