The men’s division takes off for the swim portion of the event.
First out of the water was last year’s winner Xander Geiersbach as he uses the wave to propel him to shore. He took second overall with a 30:07.
Cape Henlopen swimmer Madelyn McGreevy leads a group of swimmers out of the surf toward the transition area.

Cape grad Grace Brokaw leaves the transition area. She took fifth overall in the female division with a 37:26.

Emily Ritter of Millsboro finishes third in the female division with a 33:03.
Former biathlon winner and Rehoboth Beach lifeguard Joanna Baird from Newark took second in the female division with a 32:07.
Nate Sneller and his teammate finished seventh in the team division with his teammate Lindsey Guida. They finished with a 33:53.
Laura Ritter of Rehoboth crosses the finish line with a time of 46:56.
Maggie Delp of Lewes finished 10th in the team division with her teammate Cody Quig. They finished with a 36:56.
The 28th Annual Dave Reynolds Swim/Run Biathlon took center stage on Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk as over 230 swimmers, runners and teams took part in the event honoring the former Rehoboth Beach lifeguard and high school lacrosse coach.
