Helen Harris, loved her grandbabies

Helen Alberta Harris of Dagsboro was born July 2, 1948, to the late Hort Valentina Millberry and Bessie Elizabeth Proctor in Frederick, Md. She departed this life Monday, July 16, 2018, at Medstar Hospital in Washington, D.C.

She was educated in the Frederick Maryland School District. She was united in marriage to the late Richard Harris in 1964. From that union they had five children. She was employed for many years at the Flamingo Hotel in Ocean City, Md., until her health began to fail. She then took care of all of her grandbabies. They were the love of her life. She also loved music and loved to dance.

She leaves to cherish loving memories with her devoted and loving companion Clarence Poulson; one brother, Ricky (Cindy) Millberry of West Virginia; two daughters, Darlene (Larry) Bailey and Gloria (Harvey) Harris of Millsboro; three sons, Richard (Linda) Harris of Berlin, Md., Bryan Harris, and Richard R. (Evelyn) Harris of Frederick, Md.; three granddaughters, Cierra Parker, Emily Sodergren, and Stacy Baker; 12 grandsons, Jermaine (Ruslana) Harris, Jeremy Baker, Larry (Killita) Bailey Jr., Ronald Harris, Donshay M. Bailey, Brandon Hall, Richard R. Harris, Bardley Harris, Nathaniel Conquest, Jordan Harris, Rayshawn Harris, and Tyrese Harris; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service and Celebration of her Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 28, at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 11325 N. Worcester Hwy., Bishopville, Md., with Bishop Roland E. Mifflin officiating. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. for visitation. Burial will follow in the Curtis United Methodist Cemetery, 11827 Campbelltown Road, Bishopville, Md.
