After meeting with members of the community, friends, and most important, my family, I was confident that I would have been successful and an asset to the town of Dewey as a newly elected commissioner. With my strong business development background, combined with a commitment to community, I was poised to help the newly elected administration continue with their positive path of making our town one of the best in Delaware.
Knowing how important this election is for the future of Dewey Beach, I began to realize the time commitment required to be an effective commissioner was more than I anticipated. Unfortunately, after serious consideration, I have decided this was not the right time for my candidacy, and will officially be submitting the paperwork to withdraw as a candidate for commissioner of Dewey Beach for the September 2018 elections.
Once I made my decision I reached out to Bill Stevens to make him aware of my plans. After speaking with him and sharing my aspirations and ideas, we realized we had similar visions on how to move the town forward. We decided that pulling our forces together was a better idea and I agreed to support Bill on his run for commissioner.
Dewey Beach is my second home, and I will continue to be involved, support and be a part of the great things happening here. I am proud to be part of making "Dewey a Way of Life."
