VITAS Innovative Hospice Care to present cinema therapy
Movies can be simple, but effective tools to get an audience in touch with their feelings. They can help release pent-up emotions of grief, anger, and confusion, and stimulate discussions that may lead to healing, resolution, closure, understanding and forgiveness.
At 1:30 and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Delaware extends an invitation for some cinema therapy to discover how shared experiences with grief and loss can move people forward in their journey of healing.
Following the movie there will be an open group discussion. The film, “Two Weeks,” and discussion are free and open to the public. Movie snacks will be provided. This collaborative program will be hosted at Cancer Support Community’s Sussex facility at 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Suite 312, Rehoboth. All programs offered are free of charge to people affected by cancer and their loved ones. To register, call 302-645-9150.
