The Schooners Of Milton In The Early 20th Century
October 24, 2018
This postcard was mailed from Milton in 1908. It shows wharves in the Broadkill River in downtown Milton with three-masted schooners awaiting or discharging freight. For several decades, Milton was a shipbuilding town, famous for its multi-masted schooners that plied the eastern seaboard of the United States.
