A new billboard is set to go up at the former BayBees Pediatrics site.
New property owner Bruce Geyer said the billboard should be up before buildings come down for good on Monday, Oct. 10.
First State Signs in Dover is building the billboard, which will be higher and wider than the old billboards, which will be demolished. First State Signs was granted a variance Aug. 8 by the Sussex County Board of Adjustment for the new board.
Dale McCalister, president of First State Signs, said while the new board will be posted higher and will be wider, it will have the same square footage as the previous billboard.
Millsboro contractor Harry Caswell will demolish buildings on the property next month.
BayBees Pediatrics office was the practice of Dr. Earl Bradley from 2001 to late 2009. Bradley was convicted of 24 counts of rape, assault and sexual exploitation involving 86 child patients and sentenced to 14 life terms and 164 years in jail. His defense team is appealing the verdict to the Delaware Supreme Court.
