A hard-hitting junior varsity football game between Cape Henlopen and Sussex Tech Oct. 3 ended in an 8-8 tie.
L.T. Hazzard scored in the first period on a long 60-yard run down the right sideline for the Vikings. He then took a handoff from D.D. Gooch and powered the ball across the goal line for the two-point conversion.
The Ravens recovered a Cape fumble in the third period and took advantage of a short field with Scott Wolk running behind the left side of his line for a five-yard touchdown. Wolk, a former Beacon Middle School player, then powered his way into the end zone for the game-tying two-point conversion.
