Roland ‘Mike’ Young Jr., owned Coin Exchange

Roland G.C. “Mike” Young Jr., 62, passed away peacefully in his Milton home Sunday, March 24, 2019.

Mike was born in Lancaster, Pa., April 22, 1956, to the late Roland G.C. Young Sr. and Beatrice Wolfle Young.  He attended Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pa., and Clarion University in Clarion, Pa.

Mike had a passion for coin collecting since he was a Boy Scout, and was a member of the Red Rose Coin Club in Lancaster.  Mike’s passion for coins and talent for dealing with people led to a highly fruitful business enterprise in which he found friendship in every customer.  He had multiple successful stores throughout his lifetime.  The most recent of these, Coastal Coin & Jewelry Exchange, was the culmination of his life’s work, and he put his heart and soul into its operation.

Mike is survived by his two loving children, Michael W.C. Young and Maira A. Young; his older sister, Beatrice B. Young and her husband Thomas Bouve; and his fiancée and love of his life, Kimberly A. Wooding.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m., at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front St., Milton.  A time of visitation will begin at 4 p.m.  Family, friends and former customers who Mike made an impact on are invited to attend.
