It was a picture-perfect day for the 29th Annual Lewes Garden Tour June 15, as a steady stream of curious visitors toured nine beautiful gardens spread about the city. Each garden offered unique features, often reflecting the personal preferences and style of the homeowners.

Over the course of a year, Steve and Lorraine Walker transformed their Kings Highway backyard into a peaceful sanctuary with a 25-foot stream with three waterfalls leading to a 20-foot wide pond. NICK ROTH PHOTO

Dan McDonald and Pat West moved to Drake Knoll from Ohio and built a garden with raised beds, added a bocce court and still had room for croquet.

MaryAnn Etu’s garden has been described as whimsical. While small, it’s packed with colorful decorations and artwork and a mix of plants.
