Earl Glenn Andrews, built amazing homes

September 24, 2019

Earl Glenn Andrews, 63, of Ocean View, born July 4, 1956, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at his home.  Some knew him as “Big Earl,” but family knew him as Glenn.

Earl was first and foremost a family man. He loved his family with all of his heart and soul.  Earl was an avid fisherman and a member of Delaware Surfcasters.  In his younger years, he was a member of Lower Sussex Vans which he spoke of his whole life.

He did everything for his children, like building a skateboard ramp on the farmhouse. He stood on the Willards Little League fields as a coach for his grandson, Avery with such pride and joy. He loved family cookouts and looked forward to each of them.

He was a carpenter foreman and built many amazing homes, and he took his crew under his wings as his own kids. He loved the Orioles and Redskins. His favorite place was when he had his toes in the sand and a pole in the water.

Earl was preceded in death by his brother, Perry Andrews; mother Helen Andrews; grandparents, Myrtle and Earl Loveland; and uncles, George, Sam and Richard Loveland.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vicky Andrews; brother, Scott Andrews; a son, Danny Andrews; a daughter, Angie Andrews; and a grandson, Avery Andrews.  He had so many cousins and friends just too many to name.  He will be missed by many.

A celebration to celebrate Earl’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, where a visitation will begin at 2 p.m.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest memorial donations to help with funeral expenses to Angie Andrews, 7439 Canal St., Willards, MD 21874.
