Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl warms up shoppers

November 11, 2011

The weather might have been chilly, but Rehoboth Beach shoppers packed Rehoboth Avenue for the first Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl, Nov. 4.

The crawl featured more than 110 businesses from Rehoboth and Dewey Beach, with retail stores pairing up with restaurants to serve desserts, drinks and discounts. Rehoboth Avenue had a summer feel, as shoppers filled the sidewalks and crowded the stores.

Attendees who purchased $10 wristbands were eligible for gift certificates and a $2,000 grand prize drawing. Proceeds from the sale of the wristbands went to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Delaware Guidance Services and Southern Delaware Therapeutic and Recreational Horseback Riding.

The grand prize winner was Francesca Lance, left, who is congratulated by cocoa crawl organizer and Azura Clothing owner Alyssa Titus.
