Corona numbers continue to flare and appear to be worsening in Sussex County. I’ve attached here two maps taken from an Associated Press report that I looked at Sunday, April 19. They show Sussex corona positive cases and death rates, per 100,000 population, almost double those in New Castle County which is much more densely populated than Sussex. I’m not a professional statistics analyst but I nonetheless found these numbers disturbing. Jill Fredel, director of communications for Delaware’s Department of Heath and Social Services, said Monday morning that the department is aware there is a particular problem in Sussex and has people “on the ground” working on the issue.
