KSI seeks funds for COVID relief

While times are challenging for nonprofits and businesses, KSI is steadfast in its mission to serve people with developmental disabilities with the employment training and life enrichment opportunities they need.

As the organization prepares to restart after state restrictions begin phasing out, KSI is asking the public to use part of their federal economic stimulus checks to help offset funding losses due to the COVID-19 shut down and ensure staff employment needed to properly serve program participants.

KSI understands many people desperately need their federal COVID economic stimulus checks to make it through months of unemployment. But there are others who are still making income during the economic shutdown and perhaps don’t need the federal stimulus as much as others. Giving a portion of it to help people with disabilities in the coming months will positively affect the hundreds of individuals’ lives KSI touches each program day.

KSI is a nonprofit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that its programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.
