The Hockey 4 Haxton scholarship awards were presented to Cape Henlopen High School seniors, Marlee Geppert and Abby Kane during ceremonies this week. Both award winners have been members of the Delaware Shore Field Hockey club and active as athletes and coaches during their years in the club. Abby first started with Delaware Shore in 2011 while Marlee come into the program in 2012. Marlee will be attending Queens University and playing field hockey as a goalkeeper beginning in the fall of 2020 while Abby will be in the same city (Charlotte, NC) but will attend Belmont Abbey College where she will play field hockey as a midfielder/attack. Both athletes continue the long tradition of college field hockey athletes developed by the Delaware Shore FH organization.
