Visiting Angels names Tanesia Short Employee of the Month

December 15, 2011

Visiting Angels of Sussex, Delaware has named Tanesia Short of Milford as its Employee Angel of the Month for November.

The home care company provides services to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent and in their own homes for a better quality of life.

David Forman, president of Visiting Angels, said, “Tanesia has a positive personality that truly represents our compassionate service. She has been a blessing to her care recipients and their families, and has demonstrated the ability to quickly adapt to changing schedules and environments.”

Short is a certified nursing assistant whose work history includes private clients, personal care agencies, and Easter Seals, and she is now one of the Visiting Angels' top caregivers.

Short is one of more than 50 Visiting Angels employees throughout Sussex County who assist with hygiene, light housekeeping including laundry and linens, preparing meals, running errands, and providing companionship in the home and on errands and appointments with their care recipients.

Visiting Angels rewards employees based on their customer care and willingness to step in to meet the agency’s needs, even when it’s on short notice or not convenient.

“We’re thrilled to count Tanesia among our very best employees,” said Forman. “Our angels are the face and image of our company, and we only employ those who we would trust with our own families.”
