The biggest political campaign sign I have ever seen in Delaware showed up the past few weeks. There, on the side of a farmer’s barn north of Waples Pond, in large, capital, black letters painted on the barn’s white-siding, is Joe’s last name. Each letter stands as tall as basketball giant Wilt Chamberlain.
On this Election Eve day, I saw pick-up trucks with Trump flags, others with American flags, and some with both, tooling all around the countryside and towns of Sussex, taking part in the electioneering,
Thinking in purely pragmatic terms, I have no doubt that having Joe Biden in the White House would be good for Delaware’s economy.
But now, finally, we’ll see what the voters across the land of the free have to say about the next four years.
