The Lewes Public Library will be modifying its available services based on community spread of COVID-19 to protect the health and well-being of its staff and volunteers.
Beginning Monday, Dec. 14, the library will suspend all in-building activities including computer and browsing appointments, as well as study room reservations.
The library will continue to provide curbside and lobby pickup service. Pickup hours will be 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fridays.
Library patrons who have requested items for lobby pickup can retrieve their requested items at any time within those hours.
For curbside service, patrons must make appointments, which are available in 15-minute increments during those same hours. To make a curbside appointment, call the library at 302-645-2733, or for faster response, email lewes.library@gmail.com.
The Lewes Public Library team members eagerly anticipate the day that the library can fully reopen. In the meantime, most of the classes and workshops patrons are accustomed to attending are available online, and eBooks and eMagazines are also available.
