After a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Millsboro once again hosted its annual Children’s Parade July 4. Children and dogs of all ages donned their brightest red, white and blue to parade around the church labyrinth and celebrate the nation’s 245th birthday.
Millsboro Chief of Police Brian Callaway said the last year has been tough due to the pandemic, but he urged citizens to look for the silver lining in that the nation has recovered.
Millsboro Mayor Michelle Truitt said participants were unable to hold the annual parade in 2020, which represented the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Pilgrims in New England.
