Arthur J. Cardinale, proud veteran
Arthur J. Cardinale, 74, of Lewes passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, surrounded by loving family. He was born in Trenton, N.J., May 13, 1947, son of the late Anthony and Victoria (Pantano) Cardinale.
Arthur was a longtime Robbinsville, N.J. resident until moving to Lewes in 2019. He was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Arthur built a career with PSE&G, retiring after 30 dedicated years. He enjoyed playing poker, tennis, and watching western movies. Above all, Arthur’s family was always his priority, and he cherished sharing meals and holidays with those he loved. He will be remembered for his generosity and wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his older brother, Leonard Cardinal. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Maureen (Carr) Cardinale; his son, Dr. Joseph Cardinale (Amir Baghery); his daughter, Lisa Cardinale (Joseph Cifelli); his brother Albert Cardinale (Barbara); his sisters: Antoinette Lamoreaux (David) and Rosemary Gess (Samuel); his sister-in-law Susan Cardinal; his several cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and his devoted goldendoodle, Stella.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
